We recently purchased a 3-level 5,000 square foot penthouse in Las Vegas. This space started out with plain white walls and no details of note throughout. Selecting the right interior designer was crucial. Fortunately, we met and hired Jill Abelman of Inside Style. It was a complete project from top to bottom. We raised the floor level in the main living space to better enjoy the views of the strip, a 25’ long custom built-in bar area was designed and many unexpected touches gave it the luxurious “nightclub” feel we desired. The interiors are quite dramatic yet still warm and conducive to our large family gatherings. This project was done entirely long distance. Shortly after Jill’s design presentation, we left the country for an extended trip. All of the selections and decisions were handled quite efficiently thru email, UPS and a few phone calls. Jill was always very prompt in returning our correspondence and kept us in the loop on all progress. Our project was completed on budget and within our quick timeline (We began in September – completion due before Christmas.) She didn’t leave out one detail – down to the fully decorated Christmas tree in the living room and the mistletoe! I would highly recommend Jill and her staff to anyone that wants a truly professional design firm and spectacular results. Wendy Harrison "Our relationship started with a bare condominium and a photo of a favorite, framed print. In one of Jill’s cozy, storeroom settings, we had a long discussion about our view for the condo, our tastes in furnishings, our color preferences, our timeframe, and our budget. A few weeks later, a box of samples and a notebook of pictures arrived for us to review. Yes, we were attempting to decorate every room in a one bedroom with den condo from out of state. While we could not imagine the place from swatches, we trusted Jill’s ideas and suggestions to accomplish what we had in mind. She kept in touch every step of the way. She also coordinated storage and delivery of other items we purchased - our televisions and artwork. Our place is absolutely fabulous!! Jill (and her trusted assistant Tonya) completed everything in the short eight-week timeframe. We are still so excited and amazed at her work every time we step inside our doors. She is definitely the only one we will contact for anything decorating! We were introduced to Jill in early 2008 by a close couple friends of ours whom had just purchased a condominium in one of the more desirable properties off the Vegas Strip. Having just completed the interior design and renovation to this couples unit, Jill came highly recommended to do the interior design for the new home we had just purchased in Lake Las Vegas. Upon visiting the work she had completed for our friends, my wife and I quickly came to a decision we wanted the same quality of design and craftsmanship for our home. Their condominium was something we had seen in the high end design national publications and was what my wife and I would only dream about achieving. As a contractor of many of the higher end venues on the Las Vegas Strip I began the design process wondering if Jill could meet my expectations of quality, schedule and budget control. Having used interior designers on other properties, I always have had to jump in to clean up a mess created by others whom had promised the same as Jill. Living out of state also was a big concern as I would have to rely on Jill even more than most others I had worked with in the past. It took only one meeting and one phone conversation for Jill to get a feel of our vision for the home. Most confident that she understood our time line, budget and desire for an award winning design, In March of 2008 we authorized her to begin design and construction. Having a Milestone finish date of mid May, seemed an impossible task, especially given the amount of work that had to be completed in the aggressive schedule we had given her. As my work load never allowed me to fly in to check in on job progress, we had to really let go and trust in Jill’s ability to deliver our dream. I knew things couldn’t be going as well as she shared with me during our weekly phone conversations, and volunteered numerous times to send my companies tradesmen to help with job progress or quality issues that I believed would occur as a result of the tight schedule I had given her. She always gracefully declined the help only excited for Linn and I to see the final result. Jill needed every minute of the time allotted for completion, in fact she tells me that the cleaning crew finished just a few hours before the unveiling. The finished product was breathtaking, far exceeding the high expectations we had for the project. Given the budget allowed, the time allotted for the build-out and the standard of quality I expected, the results were truly amazing, bordering on perfection.
